Charnwood 2001 is an International Scout and Guide camp jointly organised by the Leicestershire Scout Council and the Leicestershire Guide Association. The camp is for Scouts, Guides, Venture Scouts, Rangers, Young Leaders and their adult Leaders and helpers. It a whole weeks worth of fun activities and international friendship with plenty of opportunities to meet new friends from around the world. Since the first Charnwood
camp in 1980, the event has built up a reputation of being one of the
leading international jamboree's in the UK, attracting over 2500 Scouts
and Guides from around the world. |

| The camp
will take place between the 4th and 11th of August, at Stanford Hall, nr
Loughborough. |

all campers, staff etc. - around 3000 in all. |

Tell me about it! Well, the camp is split into seven subcamps - six for the Scouts and Guides, and one for the staff. These are all arranged around the 'Village' - the main focus of the camp.
We are camping in the Sleighride to Sweden sub camp, that's the purple one. |
